About Me

Hello! I’m Amir, the guy behind Wildlifeology. Here’s my story.

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been obsessed with animals.

Some of my earliest memories are of going to the zoo and aquarium and getting excited over every creature I saw.

At school, I’d borrow every book possible from the library about wildlife.

On weekends, my family would take me hiking and camping, where I’d always be on the lookout for birds, bugs, and any other animal we might spot.

As I got older, I begged my parents to take me on safaris and ecotours so I could see wildlife up close and in their natural habitats.

Getting to observe exotic animals like elephants, cheetahs, komodo dragons, and so many more was a dream come true!

The more I learned about each species, the more fascinated I became with all the biological quirks and cool adaptations that make them thrive.

Why I Created Wildlifeology

After years of absorbing as much info as I could about the animal kingdom, I realized I wanted to share my passion with others.

That’s why I created Wildlifeology – to create a website where people who love wildlife as much as I do could geek out over all the amazing creatures on our planet.

My goal is for Wildlifeology to be a comprehensive resource for anyone wanting to dive deep into learning about mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects, and more. Here you’ll find tons of articles covering things like:

  • The life cycles of different species from birth to adulthood. I get into details like gestation periods, offspring numbers, development stages, average lifespan in the wild, and so much more.
  • Animal habitats and ecosystem profiles. How climate, terrain, plants, and other factors impact where species are found.
  • Behaviors like communication, hunting strategies, mating rituals, parenting roles, predators, and self-defense abilities. The cool ways animals interact and survive!
  • Evolutionary adaptations like camouflage, mimicking, flight, echolocation, hibernation, and all the unique traits that help animals thrive.

And a whole lot more! You get the idea – I nerd out over the nitty gritty details of wildlife biology and behavior.

This Website is a Labor of Love

I spend hours researching to create in-depth articles that animal enthusiasts like me can seriously geek out over.

And I love hearing from readers – let me know if you have any article ideas! I hope that Wildlifeology can inspire the same passion and curiosity I’ve had since I was that little kid mesmerized by animals.

Thanks for reading! Time to start exploring…
